Q1.3.3: How do I type non-ASCII characters?

See question 3.5.7 (see Q3.5.7) in part 3 of this FAQ for some simple methods that also work in non-MULE builds of SXEmacs (but only for one-octet coded character sets, and mostly for ISO 8859/1). Many of the methods available for Cyrillic (see Q1.3.7) work without MULE. MULE has more general capabilities. See Q1.3.5.

See Q3.2.7, which covers display of non-ASCII characters.
