Hi,
I suddenly got aware of gutters in XEmacs, and got a bit excited, so I
started to read the docs.
So I fired up info, looked at the lispref, and started to read. So
far ok, the intro is ... an intro, it works, but it's written in a
rather boring style.

And this is where it hit me. Again. API all over the place. Plain
boring doc strings, rather than exciting sexy explanations. And not
very helpful for newbies (with gutters) at all.
So can we please make it a goal to rewrite the docs, with some more
sexy contents?
