Hi Guys!
I was talking to our web guy (Rendhalver) on ICQ yesterday about what
we want on the web site. Here's some of the things that I think we
should have...
A description of what SXEmacs is.
Our mission statement
Installation instructions
Issue reporting instructions
News items
Creating and submitting patches
How/where to get the source
Links to relevant things... Issue tracker, XEmacs, GNU/Emacs, mailing
lists, etc
The road ahead (what are we planning in the future)
Screenshots
Links to _everything_ that SXEmacs can depend on (libs etc)
Release Notes/ChangeLogs
Dev team responsibilities
Search -- the whole site _*MUST*_ be easily search-able.
OK, that list is in no particular order, and is neither exhaustive or
definitive.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for the content on
<http://www.sxemacs.org/>?
Don't worry about the cosmetics or look and feel. I'm giving
Rendhalver pretty much a free hand over the web site, he's our web
admin/maintainer/designer/master/god. And besides, if he fucks it
up, we'll just shoot him. :-P
