Hi Gang (esp. Nick)!

OK, I've just spent some time trying to make www.sxemacs.org look a
little less lame and broken. I have a couple of questions...

  1) In the top "banner" section, is there some way I can put the
     text:

  "Latest: steve@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/sxemacs--main--22.1.1--patch-1"

_AND_ have it update automatically? In other words, I want it to
show the latest revision from my repo, but I don't want to have
to manually edit anything in www.sxemacs.org to get it.

If the text could be taken from some file somewhere, I could
easily set up a tla hook to update said file whenever I commit to
     my repo.

  2) Explain to me what "payload" and "payload2" are? And their
     differences.

  3) Nick, I very much like the current "look and feel", how do we
maintain it throughout the entire site easily? What I would like
is if I add a new HTML file somewhere it will automatically have
the same look and feel as index.html.

  4) Does XHTML give us anything that HTML4.01 Trans doesn't?

  5) Why on earth would you choose UTF-8 for the charset? (that's a
rhetorical question as I've already changed it to iso-8859-1)

  6) I changed the colours of "hover" for links and now the background
colour shows up when I hover my rat over the top of images that are
also links. I know that it is doing the right thing, but I don't
like it. Is there a way to make image links _NOT_ get the hover
     attributes?
