Is your XEmacs configured identically to your SXEmacs?  If you just
did: 

  $ ./configure
  $ make

in both of them, well, they are different.  SXEmacs is marked as
"beta" and that turns on a lot of error checking and debugging code by
default.

It is entirely possible that this bug is triggered by the presence (or
absence) of the error checking code.

  $ tla update

sxemacs--main--22.1.1--patch-8 has `report-sxemacs-bug'

Andrey, please resubmit your bug report using `report-sxemacs-bug',
and this time include the file that causes the crash.  If that file
contains sensitive data, remove or obscure the sensitive parts.
