Window number mode + Escreen = slow?

Hi,

I *think* I encountered this when I was using this on tty some time
ago and I planned to make sure today.  Unfortunately, I'm not sure I
can do anything today right now, so I'm posting this message so I
won't totally forget.

This is to do with the implementation of save-window-configuration or
whatever and the restore function escreen uses.

I think I know the way to fix it, and hopefully I can do stuff today.
